Event Technology Specialist

The Event Technology specialist will collaborate with the Director of Technology in order to support clients and the event teams on all things tech. The specialist will manage the development and implementation of online registration websites, attendee check-in systems, conference applications, and general event technology.

Responsibilities include:

  • Specification development, testing, and management of a high quantity of program registration websites and templates based on specific program needs and established best practices.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose programs, identify and apply technical and/or practical solutions.

  • Follow up on registration and technology issues, requests for information, etc.

  • Point of contact for any client questions and concerns regarding any implemented systems.

  • Development of training materials and continued training of clients and event staff.


Requirements for this position:

  • Associate's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to edit and/or write program descriptions for immediate publication, including the application of excellent grammar and punctuation skills

  • Understanding of event planning and marketing concepts.

  • Experience with event registration software is preferred.

  • Experience in marketing technology applications, such as CMS, and email service providers are also preferred

  • Excellent communication skills

  • High level of self-direction and personal accountability and ability to work in a demanding, deadline focused, dynamic environment, and consistently produce deliverables within agreed-upon timelines. In addition, the candidate must be highly organized with excellent time management skills, and the ability to shift priorities and multitask in order to meet aggressive deadlines and should constantly strive to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts and technologies.


This position has a primary function of assisting project managers and engineers in quality assurance testing with product development and functionality.

  • Attention to detail is a must in regards to thorough testing. A good candidate will own processes and advocate for as well as implement new ideas.

  • Assistance with importing data as well as product setup and implementation will be part of this role.

  • This will require analytical and problem-solving skills to verify data and ensure all the needs of the delegated part of the project are met.

  • This position will also require communication with clients, so the candidate should be well-written, well-spoken, and comfortable in that scenario. Troubleshoot equipment failures during customer meetings

  • Must be flexible & available for evening and weekend events
